Senior Timetable IT Manager

Due to the important and influential TTR project, RNE will extend the IT team in the Joint Office in Vienna and is looking for a new Senior Timetable IT Manager who shall manage the Timetable IT activities and help develop an IT infrastructure that is able to accommodate a Europe-wide harmonised timetabling process.

Responsibilities

» Responsible for definition of the future TTR (Redesign of the International Timetabling Process) IT landscape
» Responsible for the definition of new elements as required in the TTR IT landscape
» Leading the TTR IT Working Group and task forces
» Management of the TT IT Team
» Steering the PCS activities and coordination of demand management regarding PCS and related systems
» Contact to members and customers concerning relevant interfaces
» Coordinating all RNE TT IT activities
» Ensuring the active connection between IT and timetabling-related processes
» Contributing to financing, funding, tenders, other administrative issues
» Reporting to the TTR Manager, RNE CIO, and Secretary General.

Qualification & skills

» Extensive project management experience
» Good knowledge of the European timetabling process
» Experience in leading development teams
» Excellent communication and support skills with the ability to work well in a team environment
» Knowledge of IT support processes and procedures
» Ability to work in an international context
» Willingness to occasional international business trips
» Well-organised, precise, ability to work in a fast pace change environment
» Able to show own initiative and perseverance
» Used to working under time pressure
» Very good English language skills at support level

IT Timetabling Technical Assistant

Due to this important function and growing demand, RNE will extend its IT team in the Joint Office in Vienna and is looking for a new IT Technical Assistant for Timetabling systems who will help meet the growing demand of RNE’s IT infrastructure.

Responsibilities

» Responsible for 1st level support of PCS
» PCS interface support
» Supporting members and customers concerning relevant interfaces
» Patch release management
» Organisation of knowledge base and documentation
» Version control of PCS environments
» Assistance of PCS General Managers
» Collaboration with TT and PCS team.
» Administration of companies, users and events

Qualification & skills

» Excellent communication and support skills with the ability to work well in a team environment
» Knowledge of IT support processes and procedures
» Well-organised, precise, able to work in a fast-paced change environment
» Ability to work in an international context
» Able to show own initiative and perseverance
» Used to working under time pressure
» Very good English language skills at support level
» Basic project management experience needed
» Experience in documentation and web management preferred
» Basic knowledge of the European timetable process preferred
