Corridor Information Document for Rail Freight Corridors (RFCs)

 

The Regulation (EU) No 913/2010 concerning a European Rail Network for Competitive Freight (Rail Freight Regulation) describes the obligation for each RFC Management Board to publish a ‘Corridor Information Document’.

These Corridor Information Documents shall present information on the rail infrastructure of the entire RFC, in particular as regards commercial and legal access conditions, thus facilitating the applicants’ business across borders or within different RFCs.

Corridor Information Document   Members of the RailNetEurope Network Statement Working Group and Corridor Information Document Subgroup have developed a Corridor Information Document Specification for a common structure, designed to support the future RFCs with the production of harmonised and thus easy-to-understand documents. The specification complies with the requirements of Article 18 in the above-mentioned Regulation. Its reviewed version was approved by RNE’s General Assembly in December 2015.
